To celebrate our 60th anniversary, our season begins with a night of passion, romance, drama and majesty. First we’ll welcome baritone Stephen Bryant performing a selection of arias from the opera’s Mefistofole, Simon Boccanegra and Il Barbiere di Siviglia. Then Stephen takes us from the opera house to Broadway crooning selections from South Pacific. Finally, in honor of the magnitude of our 60th anniversary, the orchestra will tackle Sibelius’ gargantuan (and Romantic) rhapsody--Symphony no. 2 in D Major.
